Rachel & Laura

Rachel Ramalho

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rachel is an accomplished teacher and performer, trained in various dance styles. She started dancing at the age of 16 and spent 8 years at Companhia de Dança Jaime Arôxa. Since then she has traveled throughout Brazil and the world teaching Brazilian Zouk & Lambada.
She opened The Ramalho's Studio with her family in 2008. She is also a regular dance event organizer for: 

• Ramalho's Zouk Festival – Rio de Janeiro, BR

• Berlin Lambada Festival – Berlim, DE

• Dallas Zouk & Lambada Festival – Texas, EUA

• Portugal Brazilian Zouk Festival – Lisboa, PT

She is a member of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC) and also works as a popular DJ at many worldwide events. She is best known for her great sense of humor, detailed instruction for leads, and her ability to work with dancers from a wide range of abilities.

Laura Dalava

​Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Laura has been a dancer for 16 years. Her experience includes studying all academic dances, including classical ballet, jazz dance, contemporary dance, belly dance and street dance. Laura began studying ballroom dancing at age 16 and zouk at age 18. She has been teaching dance since 2013 and has regularly participated in professional dance championships and companies. 
Laura is a member of the Brazilian Zouk & Lambada Judging panel and holds All-Star Status.
Her pedagogy is based on studies of psychoanalysis and body language. Her students love her ability to use anecdotes, detailed follower instructions, and precise feedback to help them progress as dancers.
